Monotonix at the Hideout Block Party

The Hideout in Chicago is a great intimate venue to see local and national bands. Every year they host their anual two day block party/festival and bring in great independent talent from around the world.

Chad and I met up with Rachel, Brandon, Katie, Angelina and several others on the Saturday of the event. We rode our bikes there in the gorgeous 80 weather and spent the day drinking and listening to bands in the sun.
check out a few selected pix from the show (chad will have more up soon):

Black Mountain were the best band we saw that day, but MONOTONIX from Tel Aviv put on the best show I've seen in years. They are three crazy, hairy Israelis that embody rock star. They set up their instruments IN the crowd, encouraged people to dance on stage, crowd surfed in trashcans, and got lifted up in drums. Truly ROCK STAR!

check out their myspace page for more INCREDIBLE pix from their shows:

If you ever have a chance to check these guys out live, DO IT! you won't be disappointed.
I promise.
