After commuting to work 5 days a week on my bike sans helmet for the last six months i finally decided i had tested my luck long enough. Last night i purchased my new bike helmet and wore it on my way to work this morning.I found myself biking faster down Valencia listening for engines of large trucks as they tumbled by. The helmet restricts ipod-headphone listening which is definitely another beneficial safety measure.
