There are definately some things i appreciate about being home and in DC (as opposed to rural NY state)....
a short list:
1- city streets, public transit, walking to get places
2- The Washington Post and The New York Times delivered daily to my parents' house
3- Potomac Video (http://www.potomacvideo.com/) only the greatest independent movie rental place i have ever encountered: two floors of every possible documentary, sci-fi, indy, horror, new release, music video, comedy, drama, thriller, classic, suspense, foreign film, or anything you might possibly ever dream of wanting to see. seriously. aaand, i can walk there :)
4-Etheopian food, Korean food, Moroccan food, Sushi, Vietnamese food, Thai food, Chinese food, Italian food, and a variety of other yummy and well prepared international dining options
this does not mean i will be staying here. .. it's just not aaaaall bad.
