HOLY CRAP!!! IT'S REALLY HAPPENING!
I just got the flight down there and I just filled out the volunteer registration form.
from 3/4/06 - 3/14/06 Rachel and I will be volunteering at The Common Ground Collective.
I have no doubt it will be psychologically draining and physically exhausting, but so worth it.
Recently I've been thinking a lot about human existence and survival, universal interdependence and interconnectedness, isolation, love, support of our peers ... how it's all related. And I can only feel my heart swell with joy thinking i can somehow help another and, in doing that, help myself. (i've also been overly emotional lately) .. all these thoughts are still somewhat jumbled in my head, and yet So Clear in my heart:
That I (absolutely and without a doubt) am doing the very best and right thing.
